Energy Company Obligation
What is it ?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a part of a government domestic energy efficiency programme and helps provide insulation and heating packages, such as boiler upgrades, to low income and vulnerable households.
Who is eligible ?
To qualify, the householder must live in their own property or in privately rented property. (not Housing Association)
Householders may be eligible if:
- they receive certain tax credits and have an income of below £15,860 or….
- are receiving certain benefits such as pension credit or income support and either have children or a disabled person in the household, or are over 60.
How do I apply ?
